Social Media

With my internship with the Liberal Arts Career Development Office, I worked alongside another intern to maintain the office's social media accounts. On a bi-weekly basis I chose what was displayed on our various social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

Service Learning

Last year the LACD office decided to give back to our community. I was the project manager for the fist-ever service learning event, where a team of our interns went to a local high school to help prepare the students for college. Our team created promotional materials to inform students about the event, as well as a Prezi to be used during our presentation.

Career Week

Career Week

Each Year LACD hosts the annual Career Week. This series of events brings employers to campus to interact with students in a way that fosters professional development and teaches skills that students will need to know to be marketable in the job market. Last year's theme was Get Your Career In Shape.

I was the project manager of Wednesday of Career Week. The title for Wednesday was Rejuvenate and Network. Our first event took place at 12pm and was a Business Etiquette workshop. At 5:30pm we hosted a Federal and State Government Panel, followed by a reception where students could speak more informally with the panelists.

I was also project managing donations for Career Week. Each year our office solicits donations from local businesses. These donations are then used as prizes for students who attend the various workshops over the course of Career Week. In exchange for their donations, local businesses are marketed in our promotional materials of Career Week and in our booklets and on social media.

Yeoman United Methodist Church

Boiler Communication is a student-run public relations firm at Purdue University. I was part of a team facilitating the campaign for the Yeoman United Methodist Church. The Church's main goal was to gain members as well as funding. Our team set out a campaign to help them accomplish this by hosting a Noodle Dinner event at the church with a silent auction to follow and live entertainment. We also helped them improve their social media to gain awareness of their church. The event took place April 2 from 4:30-7:30p.m.

My last project was to create a logo for the church. I created two options, which are shown below

This logo was created from a template provided by the United Methodist Church Communications

High Ability Program at Mayflower Mill Elementary

Best in Class Strategies is a student-run public relations firm. We created content for the High Ability Program to be used for promotion and to give their students and those students parents more information. As the designer, I designed and created all deliverables, including the firm's logo and the client's logo.
